For rescue organisations

Your rescue operation, on one system

Short answer

Jinseva gives a rescue NGO its own URL, case dashboard, volunteer roster and WhatsApp automation. A call becomes a case, the case reaches the responding team in their group, the caller gets acknowledged and updated, and the whole year is reportable at the end of it.

The problem this actually solves

Most rescue groups run on a WhatsApp group and somebody’s memory. That works, right up until it does not: a message scrolls past unread, two volunteers drive to the same bird, a caller never finds out what happened, and at the end of the year nobody can say how many rescues the group did or where they were.

Jinseva does not ask you to abandon the group — it writes into it. The difference is that every call also becomes a record: with a status, an assigned volunteer, a location and a history. The coordination stays where your volunteers already are, and the accounting of it stops depending on anyone remembering.

What changes on day one

  • Nothing is lost in the scroll. Every case has a record, a status and an owner, whether or not anyone replied in the group.
  • Callers stop calling back. An automatic acknowledgement and one status update replace the three follow-up calls a worried caller would otherwise make.
  • Duplicates get caught. The same animal reported twice while a case is still pending is flagged rather than dispatched twice.
  • The year adds up. Area-by-species and area-by-status reports and CSV export, ready for trustees, grants and annual reports.

Getting started

From registration to first case

Six steps. The defaults are filled in, so setup is mostly reviewing rather than writing.

  1. 1

    Register your organisation

Fill in your organisation name, city, helpline number, working hours and an admin login. It takes a couple of minutes and costs nothing.

  2. 2

    Wait for approval

The platform administrator reviews the registration and activates the organisation. Until then the account exists but the dashboard is not open.

  3. 3

    Complete the setup wizard

Set the areas you cover, the species you handle, your call types, your case statuses and the message templates callers receive. Sensible defaults are prefilled, so this is editing rather than authoring.

  4. 4

    Link your WhatsApp device

Connect the WhatsApp number your team already uses, and choose the group that should receive new-case alerts.

  5. 5

    Add your volunteers

Add them one by one, or import your existing roster straight from a WhatsApp group. Give each person the permissions they need — adding cases, editing cases, or full admin.

  6. 6

    Start logging cases

Register cases from the dashboard, from your public rescue link, or through the WhatsApp bot. From the first case onwards the reports build themselves.

Questions

Common concerns

We already run everything on WhatsApp. Why change?

You do not have to leave WhatsApp — Jinseva sends into it. What changes is that each call also becomes a record with a status, an assigned volunteer and a history, so nothing is lost when a message scrolls out of view and you can answer at year end how many cases you actually handled.

Do our volunteers need to learn new software?

Most do not. Volunteers who only respond keep working in the WhatsApp group as they always have. Only the people who register and update cases use the dashboard, and that is a short form on a phone.

Can we use our own phone number and branding?

Yes. Your organisation runs on its own URL with your name, logo and colour, your own public landing page and donation QR, and alerts go out from your own WhatsApp device.

What if we handle animals other than birds?

The species list, call types, areas and statuses are all yours to define. Groups handling dogs, cats, reptiles or mixed wildlife configure the same fields differently.

How long does it take to get running?

Registration takes a couple of minutes and setup is a guided wizard with defaults already filled in. The gate is approval by the platform administrator, not the configuration work.

Who owns the data?

Your cases, volunteers and messages are yours, scoped to your organisation on the server, and exportable to CSV whenever you want them.

Run a rescue organisation?

Jinseva gives your NGO its own case dashboard, volunteer roster and WhatsApp automation, so a rescue call becomes a tracked case in seconds.
